I present to you the world’s lamest week of comics. It was so lame I considered buying the .1 issue of Deadpool, but then I remembered that for every .1 issue you buy a baby seal gets clubbed to death by Newt Gingrich. He had it passed back in ‘97. Brilliant foresight on his part.
- Avengers Solo- I don’t know why I’m buying this. This is the 4th Hawkeye miniseries in a row that I’ve absolutely hated but kept buying. I actually stopped reading Blindspot it was so bad, but I had hopes for this. It’s just terrible. The story makes no sense. There’s only one more issue and I’m sure I’ll buy it. Then I’ll probably by Captain America and Hawkeye too, because I’m an idiot
- Captain America and Bucky- Well I suppose I shouldn’t be too angry that they don’t mean actual Bucky anymore. But I am. I don’t know why they’d publish this. Why not just bring out Winter Soldier #1? Oh that’s right, because idiots like me buy it
- Mighty Thor- Behold thy saving grace. Yeah this was good. It’s always good though. Mighty Thor is an incredibly solid comic. Fraction’s done well with it. There’s cute Loki and Surfer moments. Tilda’s hanging around. A sweet fight. Thor being a badass. It’s got a good feel to it. The artwork compliments the mood of the book and that’s rarely the case anymore. Nothing spectacular but I’m giving it points for consistency
