I’m being really mean to Bryan Q Miller on twitter

I kind of feel for him. I work at a company that pretty regularly chooses what will get watched over what is the better coverage. I understand you can’t control what your superiors tell you. But Brubaker did something that inspired me. He said the way the major companies treat creator rights is unacceptable. I believe him when he says it wasn’t his decision to put Steve back as Cap. They take too much control away from the writers. They refuse to give them any kind of ownership of what they create. And you know what Brubaker did? He left.

Now you not only have an editorial staff clearly infringing on the decisions of the writer, you have the VP of public relations and other writers mocking fans for asking about something that was, not only widely reported, but on your fucking twitter? And you have the audacity to get on twitter and say “Hey Batgirl fans! You should buy Dustin Nguyen’s sketchbook!” You want to try and sell me something while the people who have made you a success are laughed at during a convention meant to celebrate what they love?

Fuck you sir. You wrote a watered down version of Steph. You abandoned so much of her history just to make it more palpable to more people. But I didn’t care because it was the best I could get since pre-War Games. I’ve bought every comic you’ve written for 3 years, but if tomorrow it isn’t announced Steph is still Nightwing, I’m going to take my copy of Smallville, light it on fire and use it to light my cigarette. You sir should be ashamed of yourself
