Avengers vs. X-Men — Captain America vs. Wolverine

WHY IS HE SWINGING!!!?!?!???!!?!!!?!?

Let me start by saying this was one of the better weeks in a long time. It should also be noted that the 3 titles I love more than anything in the world all came out this week. On to the post no one ever reads
X-23: Disappointing end to an otherwise great arc. Was never able to replicate what made the first issue good, which was the Richards kids hijinks and Laura saving them. I feel like Hellion ruined this arc. If it was just her babysitting this would have been perfect.
Amazing Spider-Man: I have no idea why this issue exists. None. Maybe it will become clearer but…. I mean what? No seriously please I’m begging anyone who read this to message me and explain why this issue exists
Avengers: Someone needs to sit Bendis down and have a talk with him. This is shit. I take that back, my today’s standards this is serviceable. But Bendis was never serviceable. By Bendis standards this is shit. I’d say he needs fewer titles but he’s not writing any of the events and he hasn’t put out an indy in 8 months. The guy’s doing 4 titles. Fraction’s doing 4 and is improving every issue. Guy may have just lost it
Invincible Iron Man: Please refer to this as the moment Iron Man got back on track. Multiple plot lines, a villain I’m actually afraid of, character development. I have a boner and I’m not even half way done
X-Force: This was a transition issue and it was still amazing. I’d been saying that I thought the series got derailed because of the Dark Angel arc. This puts it back on the tracks. Also like the new art. I know some people won’t be a fan, but oh well.
Batman Inc: The Steph Brown part was fucking amazing. The rest? Now see this is hard because I liked the ending. But in the middle off the 2nd part the writing is shockingly bad. It really is. And it’s nothing new. If you go back to Morrison’s first Batman and Robin arc you’ll see it to. There are pages where Morrison is writing jibberish with just obscure lit references stuffed in. I fucking hate it.
Incredible Hulk: You know what I don’t hate? Anything Jason Aaron does. This was a less eventful book than the first two, but I felt like the emotion was much more prominent. I was genuinely sad and really unsettled by the end. No one else does that
Wolverine and the X-Men: Oh god I get both of them in one week. I need to change my pants. I liked the little intro. I thought it was cute. Cap and Logan are like a never ending Top Gun locker room scene. Good way to end the first arc. I’m very worried about this book post Bachalo. His art really fit the writing well. It will be interesting to see if Aaron can carry a subpar artist for a few arcs.
Batman: I’d like to mark this as the day that Snyder officially surpassed Morrison as the greatest Batman author ever. No one does it better. I make fun of DC for being incompetent a lot, but I have to give them credit. Their best writer is on their best book. All hail Snyder

2. Luke, you can’t fly. How did you end up in that position?

Cover of Moon Knight 11. Done by Alex Maleev. This looks different from anything else I’ve seen him done and I also like it less than anything else he’s done. Maleev is amazing with the colors he uses and the simplicity of his work. This looks like a practice sketch. Not a fan
